Rules & Regulations

For Food Vendors

As a Rhythm on the River vendor applicant, I acknowledge the following rules and regulations. This vendor application is not a contract.

Vendors are approved on a first come, first served basis and are subject to approval by the Rhythm on the River Vendor Committee. Space is limited.

The Rhythm on the River Vendor Committee reserves the right to refuse any vendor application to allow for a balanced variety of vendors.

Rhythm on the River (ROTR) is a family-friendly event. No obscene or suggestive graphics or phrases may be visible on a vendor’s person or any part of a vendor’s booth/space. In addition, any vendor striving to make a controversial or political statement will not be allowed.

On the day of the event, the ROTR Vendor Committee reserves the right to remove any vendor from the event either prior to the event at any time during the event if the vendor fails to comply with the event rules or does not follow the standards of reasonable public taste.

Approved Vendors must be set up by 12 PM and cannot close down until 8 PM. Arrival time will be between 1 1/2 hour to 2 hours before depending on final layout of vendors.

Food vendors must provide at the time of application the exact measurements of their truck, trailer, or tent area (from tip to tip, including any items that might affect the area needed). Also, what side is open for service.

Food vendors are allowed to provide their own generator as a power source. power is needed, one (1) “common generator” will be available for food vendors (on a first come, first serve basis

Please notify the ROTR Vendor Committee if you will need to connect to this generator. This will be a $25 charge. ROTR will not supply power cords and vendors are responsible for providing their own power cords.

Payment of a $250 for a Food Vendor or $100 for a Dessert Vendor Fee is due at the time of application. If the application is not approved, the vendor fee will be refunded. Payment can be made by cash, check, or Venmo (upon request). Payments can be mailed or delivered to Connect Powdersville, 213 Three Bridges Road, Greenville, SC 29611.

Connect Powdersville and the Rhythm on the River Vendor Committee assumes no liability for any damage to vendor booths and merchandise or for any injuries damage due to negligence of the vendor.

Connect Powdersville and Anderson County require all the food vendors to carry a minimum of $1,000,000 liability insurance coverage. In addition, a Certificate of Insurance (COI) must be provided listing both parties as an Additional Insured for the day AND location of the event (Saturday, May 4, 2024 at the Dolly Cooper Park, 170 Spearman Circle, Greenville, SC 29611)

The COI must be mailed to Chrissy Harvin at Connect Powdersville or emailed to admin@connectpowdersville.com no later than March 1st. The additional Insured parties should be listed on the COI as follows:

Failure to submit proper COI before March 1, 2023 will result in the Vendor being removed from the ROTR Event.

All food Vendors MUST meet SCDHEC requirements. It is the sole responsibility of the food vendor to ensure that all SCDHEC regulations are met while participating in Rhythm on the River. Upstate SCDHEC Anderson County Office: 864-260-5585

Food Vendors MUST have SC Department of Revenue License (https://dor.sc.gov or 803-898-5000) It is the sole responsibility of the food vendor to ensure that all SCDOR regulations are met while participating in Rhythm on the River related to retail licensing and sales tax collection.

All foods sold at the event MUST be listed on the vendor application (see page 1)

No waste disposal will be available.

No liquid waste and/or runoff of any kind from a food vendor booth is allowed.

Please provide business logo and website address with application for purpose of advertising on Rhythm on the River Website and Facebook Event Page.

My signature on this application affirms that I have provided current and accurate information related to my food vendor business. Furthermore, my signature acknowledges I have read and understand the Rhythm on the River rules and regulations regarding my participation as a food vendor and I agree to abide by all the rules and regulations set forth.

For Craft Vendors

As a Rhythm on the River vendor applicant, I acknowledge the following rules and regulations. This vendor application is not a contract.

Craft Vendors are defined as those making handcrafted decorative and or functional items to sell at the market that demonstrates quality of craftsmanship.

Vendors are approved on a first come, first served basis and are subject to approval by the Rhythm on the River Vendor Committee. Space is limited.

The Rhythm on the River vendor committee reserves the right to refuse any vendor application to allow for a balanced variety of vendors.

Payment of a $50 Craft Vendor is due at the time of application. If the application is not approved, the vendor fee will be refunded. Payment can be made by cash, check or Venmo (upon request Payments can be mailed or delivered to Connect Powdersville, 213 Three Bridges Road, Greenville, SC 29611.

Connect Powdersville and the Rhythm on the River Vendor Committee assumes no liability for any damage to vendor booths and merchandise or for any injuries damage due to negligence of the vendor.

Approved craft vendors must provide their own tables, chairs, tents with appropriate anchoring, and all other materials needed to operate their vendor booth/space.

Craft vendors designated space will be approximately 10′ by 10′.

No power will be available to craft vendor booths. Craft vendors are not allowed to bring a generator.

It is the sole responsibility of the Craft vendor to ensure that all SCDOR laws and regulations are met while participating in the Rhythm on the River event related to retail licensing and sales tax collection.
